Glucomannan is a bulk forming and water-soluble dietary fiber which is obtained from Amorphophallus Konjac’s root corm. It is a kind of plant which is found mostly in Asia, and is popularly known as Konjac. It is also the other name given to elephant foot yam. Glucomannan’s high viscosity and high molecular weight are two of its prominent physical properties. It is also well recognized for its efficacy as an ingredient in weight management supplements.
